A really fab hotel, staff are amazing!

The hotel was beautiful, beds were huge and comfy. Great facilities. Staff were so friendly and so helpful, going above and beyond. Great central location.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the room was stiflingly hot. It’s not their fault and there were two fans in the room but even with both fans on, I didn’t feel comfortable over night.

Highly recommend

- Beautiful building in a great location, walkable to the main sights and lots of restaurants - Super helpful staff, helped us arrange transport to Monte Alban / airport - Delicious breakfast (included in price when paying by cash) - Clean and spacious rooms

Only thing that could be improved is putting AC in the rooms as it was very hot at night

Really enjoyed our stay

Great location and the hotel is in a charming old building which felt very individual. Staff were very helpful and the facilities for breakfast in the restaurant were also great.

Our room didn't have a window and I wish there was coffee in the room

Great Stay Near the Zócalo!

Great location in walking distance to so much. And my actual room was amazing. It was upstairs in the back of the building and had a great little porch outside with tables and chairs that I would sit at in the evenings drinking some beers. I ate breakfast there one of the mornings and it was delicious and located in the cute little courtyard. The people at the front desk were always super nice and super helpful. They even were nice enough to call a cab for me when I needed to get to one of my Airbnb experiences.

The only con is that it is located near a nightclub of some sort called Blackcherry and you could hear music until pretty late at night. I still loved the hotel though.

Great value for money.

This place is located only a 5-minute walk from the main square, so you'll be within walking distance from most attractions in the historic centre. The staff are great, super friendly, and helpful. The place has a wonderful character, traditional of the colonial buildings of Oaxaca. The room we had was incredibly spacious and comfy. So YES, I'd recommend it.

Could have better water pressure in the wash bowl and the toilet, sometimes the toilet took a long while to fill up again with water. The shower was okay though, with lots of hot water to take a proper shower.

Best spot and wonderful stay in the heart of Oaxaca

The historical house and patio are fantastic, right next to Zócalo. As it is an old house, I needed to understand some things first (e.g. how the water works), but the staff was kind and fast to explain. Best of all was the kind service who really took their time. They were extremely helpful in rendering me info on how to get to Matatlan on my own and organised a taxi. A full 10 - I would definitely stay again!

The description of the room on booking.com - actually still differs a bit from the room on-site (there is no balcony). Be that as it may, the reception switched me to another room and, though still without balcony, guaranteed a perfect stay. Thank you once again.

Charming hotel right in the centre

The hotel is a typical Mexican hotel and located very close to the main square (zocalo). It has its charms and the staff is both accommodating and friendly. The internet in the room fluctuated a bit but was mostly OK. The same goes for the hot water. We stayed in a room with two double beds and had plenty of space. The mattresses were firm and comfortable. The room faced the courtyard and was a bit dark, but you get used to it. There are water dispensers on both floors, which is very convenient.

Wonderful

Great location, one block from the main plaza with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Gracias!

Our room was internal so no windows externally (booking.com automatically booked the room as no balcony rooms available for all the nights) The staff were lovely and offered to change our room the following night. Although we ended up staying in the original room and we were out exploring most of the day anyway and it was nice and quiet.
